Gary & Kerry - Toledo Wedding Photographer

Gary and Kerry were one of our October couples! They had a lovely wedding at St Richards in Swanton, Ohio followed by their reception at Park Inn. Stevie was able to truly capture their happiness and love in their photographs!



It's not hard to see that this couple had a wonderful time on their wedding day! I just LOVE the fall colors and clear blue sky. October weddings are always so beautiful.

Alexandra & Shauli - Toledo Wedding Photographer

Meet Alexandra! She had a beautiful wedding a few weekends ago, and we had a marvelous time photographing her wedding day. She and her husband, Shauli, celebrated their marriage at the Toledo Club on November 14th.



They were absolute naturals in front of the camera, and certainly made it easy to make beautiful photographs!



Shauli and Alexandra even made their entrance fun with a dance as they were announced to their family and friends. What a great way to spice up the otherwise ordinary entrance! Congratulations Shauli and Alexandra on your marriage! Thanks for letting us be part of your day.

We're back!

What a crazy few months it has been! If you were following our blog before the hiatus, you will hopefully understand why we've been away. Lauren, our studio manager, just returned from maternity leave, yayy! Now that the studio is settling back into our usual routine, I have found time to sneak away from all of the workflows, ordering, retouching, etc. to show the blog world some new stuff!

Our wonderful wedding photographers have had their weekends packed full of beautiful weddings. We've seen some truly inspiring creative brides this season and I can't wait to share some of my favorites! Hopefully this little runner of photos will hold you over until next week when I will buckle down on some serious blogging.

Forgive me for my absence, I promise I will have lots of goodies in the coming weeks!

Emily and Ryan's Historic St Pats & TCC Wedding

Emily and Ryan were married at the beautiful Historic St Pats on Saturday August 8th. They had an absolutely stunning wedding. From the tiniest of details to the grandeur of the ceremony, the whole day had a magical feel to it. The reception was held at the Toledo Country Club where the weather cooperated wonderfully for an outdoor reception. The chandeliers, candle lights, flowers, and greenery created an intimate atmosphere for Ryan and Emily's family and friends.

Goodbyes and Hellos

Meet Lucy MacKenzie Guhl! We were all clamoring to get the first look when Lauren paid us a visit last week. She's so tiny and adorable!

Unfortunately, the reason for Lauren's visit was to take part in our 'goodbye' photo. As each semester ends, we get a group shot of the whole lot of us. Here you see our summer crew. Kristi will be returning for the fall semester (a glutton for punishment? haha kidding!) so we don't have to say goodbye to her. We won't be rid of Kim either as she has agreed to come back for some part time work! Val was such a bubbly and friendly asset to our team. Many of our seniors spent a couple hours with Val as she was a frequent photo assistant. We hope she drops in from time to time to visit with us.

It was a great summer team, and we have lots of memories from the office! Best of luck in the future Kristi, Val, and Kim. And Lauren, bring Lucy back!! We miss you both. :)

Baby Guhl has arrived!

We just got word that Lauren has given birth to a 6 pound 2 ounce not-yet-named baby girl!!

Baby Guhl came 3 weeks early so she can't be too surprised to not be named yet, right!? Any suggestions for Lauren and her hubby for a name? Let us know!

Congratulations Lauren and Jon, we are so happy for you and your family!

Bring her by soon, pretty pretty please!!!

Rita and Steve's July Wedding

Rita and Steve were married on July 11th and they definitely had beautiful photos of their big day! We've loved working with both Steve and Rita - they are a delight! I know our designer is looking forward to coming up with a beautiful album for the couple.



They were married at Oak Openings Lodge and had their reception at Valleywood Golf Club. I love the image of them running through their guests after the ceremony. Those candid action shots are the best!



Congratulations Rita and Steve, we loved being part of your wedding day!

Glenmoor Country Club

The Glenmoor Country Club is located in Canton, Ohio and is absolutely beautiful. It has such an interesting history that you can read about here. The building and grounds started out as Brunnerdale Seminary High School for boys which closed its doors in 1986. Following a renovation, the club opened in 1991 and the Jack Nicklaus golf course opened in 1992.





The reception hall is located in the former chapel. The cathedral ceilings, giant candle chandeliers, and rustic atmosphere make for a great reception hall! What a great use of a retired chapel and seminary school.



We had the pleasure of doing photoboothlive at the country club for Davene and Andrew's wedding reception. Photoboothlive created great memories for the guests and was a huge hit once again!





One of the best parts of travelling to other cities for wedding and event photography and photoboothlive is being able to see and learn about great establishments such as the Glenmoor Country Club that have great stories and history!

Angie and Sean - Toledo Wedding Photography

Meet Angie and Sean! They will be getting married October 3rd of this year. We are especially excited for this wedding because Angie used to work with us here at GLP.



The day they came in for their engagement shoot, I swear we were all spying on them from the windows in the office! And Sean just charmed our socks off!





We are so happy to able to be part of Angie's wedding day in such a special way. It's been great reconnecting with her and getting to know her fiance. Congratulations Angie and Sean!

More of Megan and Marty at the Field Museum

We are just loving this wedding around here! I wanted to show some photographs of the details because Megan and Marty definitely went the extra lengths to make everything beautiful.



I love that their reception was in the museum. Imagine being surrounded by all of those one of a kind and breathtaking exhibits.

Ice Cream Lunching

It's been a beautiful week, and we have all been craving some ice cream! Yesterday, all the girls headed to a local ice cream place for a little break in the sunshine.

Megan & Marty's Chicago Wedding

Megan was such a beautiful bride! Stevie spent the morning with Megan and her bridesmaids photographing their 'getting ready' process.







Bob & Stevie took the bride and groom to a few different locations for photos. Having some spots scoped out ahead of time is such a great idea. When you are planning your formals, keep in mind that some of the most meaningful photos can be in unexpected places!



They are so adorable!

Rebekah and Scott

Scott and Rebekah were married on June 13th at St Pats with their reception at the Crown Plaza. It was a beautiful wedding! We've just had a string of absolutely beautiful weddings lately, and I love blogging about them. It's fun to show off the hard work and creativity of our brides!

I always love these sorts of photos, with the groomsmen looking tough (even the little ones!) all in a line. This was shot at the Toledo Botanical Garden, which is beautiful year round! If you are looking for a place to take your bridal party photos, go check out Toledo Botanical Garden. This weekend is the Crosby Festival of the Arts, so it would be a great weekend to stop by!

Baby to be!

Kiersten and Travis are expecting their little baby at the end of this month and came in to have maternity photos taken. They were just an adorable couple and you could tell they are very excited to meet their baby! We can't wait to see them in July for the baby's first photo session!

Reve Salon and Spa

Reve Salon and Spa is located in downtown Sylvania. The salon and spa is actually five floors high and full of all things beautiful!





Many of our brides choose Reve to do their hair and makeup on their big day. It's a relaxing, beautiful place to spend the morning with your bridesmaids!
