What it takes to make a beautiful photograph...

Below are a couple interesting photos from the Robyn Posner/Eric Greenberg wedding on October 26th, 2008. They had a two photographer wedding day, and I wanted to show what the "posed" session of the day entailed. The man on the right is Tim Rose, videographer. Stevie Grand Lubell is the photographer in the dark coat.

It's not easy, but we sure work hard to make a beautiful image!!! The results are ALWAYS a reward for our hard work. Of course it helps to work with such great fun couples :)

Happy Holidays!!!!!

Happy Holidays to all!!!!
We had an impromptu photo shoot with our crazy little Grand Lubell family. Even the cats decided to join the festivities....

Yes, the animals are dressed up. We are THOSE people :)

But they are so darn cute....

Fall Colors in New York = Beautiful Wedding Day!!!

We wanted to share a few photos from Madhu and Par's September 27th wedding in Cooperstown, New York! The weekend was rainier than any of us had expected, but it was a truly beautiful and special occasion.

Mary and Bob, and our assistant for the weekend Dominique, all dressed in traditional Indian clothes as we do for all of our Indian weddings.

Par and Madhu had so much fun on their foggy, misty wedding day :)
Here's a few shots of the happy couple:

Thank you for letting us be a part of your day!

Amy & Nick's "Country" Wedding!!!

I have spent a little bit of time today going over our summer weddings and just HAD to post a few from Amy & Nick's August 16th wedding! Nick and Amy have a horse farm up in Michigan and also attend many rodeos, which Nick often competes in. So of course their lifestyle had a big influence on thier wedding day!
And what a gorgeous day it was!!!

Trash the Dress!

This is such a cute idea! This bride-to-be went out and bought a cheaper, but beautiful wedding dress and wanted to have a shoot at Maumee Bay Resort. It didn't matter how dirty the dress got, which was great for those "in the water" shots! The photographs below are from the shoot and are adorable! Great shoot Stevie!

Happy Birthday to Jon Hendricks!

Grand Lubell was honored to have attended a birthday party for the great jazz singer/lyricist Jon Hendricks on Sept. 15, 2008. He turned 87 today and has an amazing life. The party began at a private Ottawa Hills home with friends from the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo. The fun continued at Murphys on Summit St. in Toledo. Even at 87, Jon is still singing, making great music. He appeared with an orchestra from the University of Toledo and his Vocalstra. This first photo is of Jon:

Jon is founder of the jazz group Manhattan Transfer. He was also a partner in Lambert, Hendricks & Ross. The talented trumpet player, Marcus Belgrave, joined Jon on stage and is featured in the next 2 photographs.

Audrey Lezbeitz, a French videographer has devoted the last four years documenting Jon Hendricks' life. She and her audio technician Cecelia Foucher (not shown), have spent the week in Toledo on the project.

Joyce Perrin founder of Any Wednesday and Herral Long, a photographer, are seen in this next photograph.
